When not upgrading from RA4, a Genie is required

The Dealer will have to call Sirius Tier II Support and get an authentication code from them, before they'll be allowed to see the RSM code in Dealer Connect. After that, they'll be able to use a Scan Tool to add the feature to the vehicle's BCM.

Vehicles upgrading from an RA4 going to a UAQ will not need this programming, as the factory BCM coding already has RSM. Also, any vehicle upgrading TO an RA4, will not need the programming because the RA4 also has RSM built into the radio unit. This would only need to be performed if the factory unit did not have RSM.

We carry this OBDGenie for vehicles that went from a radio incapable of Travel Link when upgrading to a Uconnect 4 system.
