To connect the fields on your forms to the lead custom fields (not to be confused with deal - there's a separate article for that), you need to map the fields one at a time. There are two ways you can do it. This article will show both options.
Through Native Field Mapping:
Step 1: Click on Field Mapping button in the left panel in your InterFace account.
Step 2: Once in, you may see fields that are already mapped. To map a new field, click on New Sync button on top right.
Step 3: Select the field on the form.
Step 4: Select "People" within the action step, and select the field within the deal.
Step 5: Click on Save Changes.
Through Automation Platform:
Step 1: Log into your InterFace account and select Automation Platform. Then click on Create a New Workflow and Select InterFace forms as the trigger.
Step 2: Once the form is selected, create a test entry in the form. Once that is done, click on Test Trigger.
β
Step 3: Check the Trigger Data to ensure your most recent test entry appears.
Step 4: Select Follow Up Boss as an action step. Select "Populate custom fields".
Click on test action. Go to the test lead in FUB to ensure the custom field is populated.
Remember to test your mapping by submitting a dummy entry. Additionally, you need to make sure that the field type on the form matches the field type in FUB. For example, a text field on the form should be mapped to a text field in FUB. A date field cannot be mapped to a number field, for example.
Don't forget to turn on the workflow!
