Overview
The Rise.ai Liability Report gives finance, accounting, and operations teams a detailed view of outstanding gift card and store credit liability. It shows how balances change through issuance, manual adjustments, other adjustments, redemptions, disabling, and expiration.
Access the Liability Report
To open the Liability Report:
In your Rise.ai dashboard, go to Reports from the sidebar.
Under Preset reports, find Liability.
Click View.
The Liability Report will open, allowing you to review your outstanding gift card and store credit balances.
How to select the liability report date
Use the date selector at the top of the report to choose the date for which you want to view your liability.
The selected date is an as-of date, not the beginning of a date range. The report includes all gift card and store credit activity from the beginning of your account through the selected date.
Report dates use UTC. For example, selecting June 30 includes every liability event recorded through 23:59:59 UTC on June 30.
Data is stored in UTC and refreshed daily. The most recent refresh time appears above the report.

How to export the Liability Report
You can export the Liability Report in two ways: CSV report or raw data export.
Export options
Export type | What it includes | When to use it |
CSV report | Exports the report exactly as configured, based on the selected report date, dimensions, metrics, and filters. The data is grouped and totaled according to the report view. | Use this when you want to download the summarized report shown in the dashboard and confirm totals by source, store, channel, location, or issuance period. |
Raw data export | Exports the individual activity behind the report totals, based on the selected report date and filters. Each activity appears as a separate row. | Use this when you need to investigate the events behind the totals or connect report activity with operational or financial records. |
For example, if a customer uses $30 from a refund credit and $20 from customer service credit in one purchase, the CSV report may show the combined total based on your selected dimensions and metrics. The raw data export will show each source as a separate row.
The raw data export also includes additional order and transaction reference numbers, which can help you match each row to the related order or activity.
To export the report
Click Export Report in the upper-right corner of the report.
Choose whether to export the CSV report or raw data.
Confirm the email address that should receive the file.
Click Start export.
There is no row limit on exported reports.
When the export is ready, Rise sends an email containing a download link. The link expires after two days. If the link has expired, generate a new export.
If you do not receive the export email, confirm the destination email address, check your spam or junk folder, and allow additional processing time for large exports.
FAQ
What date range does the Liability Report use?
The report includes all activity from the beginning of your account through the end of the selected date.
Why does the preview show only 200 rows?
The 200-row limit applies only to the on-screen preview. Export the report to access all matching results.
Why are redeemed, disabled, and expired amounts negative?
These activities reduce outstanding liability, so they appear as negative values.
Can I use the report for aging analysis?
Yes. Add Funding Issue Month, Funding Issue Quarter, or Funding Issue Year to group outstanding liability by issuance period.
Does the raw export include customer details or gift card codes?
Not currently. Customer PII, gift card codes, and Shopify Gift Card IDs are planned for a future update.
How long is an export available?
The emailed download link expires after two days. Generate a new export if the link has expired.
Is the Liability Report part of a broader reporting update?
Yes. It is the first report powered by Rise.ai's new reporting system. Rise.ai plans to expand this foundation to additional reporting experiences over time.
