Why Deliverability Issues Hurt Your Campaigns

Effective communication through email and text is vital on Investorlift - connecting buyers, sellers, and investors. But deliverability challenges can disrupt that flow and shrink your effective reach without you realizing it.

Follow the steps below to identify and troubleshoot email and text deliverability issues on Investorlift.


Step 1: Understand the Common Causes

If your buyer list contains buyers flagged as Bad Email, who have unsubscribed from emails, or who opted out of SMS, your recipient list shrinks - directly impacting deliverability and engagement rates.

Step 2: Identify Bad Email Addresses

When an email is repeatedly rejected by the receiving server, our system flags it as Bad Email. Common reasons include:

  • The email address doesn't exist.

  • The address has bounced.

  • The recipient is blocking emails.

Step 3: Check for Email Opt-Outs

Investors and buyers on Investorlift may occasionally unsubscribe from email communications. Check your buyer list for any buyers who have opted out to understand why your email reach may be lower than expected.

Step 4: Check for SMS Opt-Outs

Text deliverability issues often stem from sending SMS to recipients who haven't explicitly opted in. Only send text messages to buyers who have consented to receive them.

Step 5: Find Buyers with Deliverability Issues

Use the deliverability filter in your Buyers section to identify affected contacts:

  1. Navigate to Buyers and click Filters.

  2. On the right-hand side, locate Send channels.

  3. From the dropdowns, select both Can't receive Emails and Can't receive SMS.

  4. Click Filter Buyers to see all buyers who have opted out or have a Bad Email flag.

Step 6: Fix Notification Settings for Property Inquiries

If you're not receiving notifications for property inquiries, your Disposition Settings toggle may be set to ON β€” which lets buyers see the address immediately after requesting it, bypassing your notification.

  • Navigate to Settings β†’ Disposition Settings.

  • Scroll down to Deals Site Settings and set the toggle to OFF to require manual approval before the address is shared.


Keeping your buyer list clean and your notification settings correctly configured ensures your campaigns reach the right people every time.
