Manage Pest Control Records and Pesticides at a Glance

Writing down pest control history on paper and digging through old records is a hassle. Experience a more convenient way to manage your records with Ation.

Reduce the time spent recording and quickly prepare your next strategy by seeing exactly what pesticide was used, when, and where—all at a single glance.

1. Getting Started

First, navigate to the Production Management > Pest Control Management menu.

2. Registering Your Pesticides

When you first enter, your history will be empty. To add a record, you must first register the pesticides used on your farm. Click the Pesticide menu in the top left corner.

Once you are on the Pesticide List screen, you can add pesticides using one of the two buttons in the top right:

  • Option 1: + Add Pesticide (From Ation DB) Ation provides a comprehensive database of pesticides used in Canada, which is updated regularly. Simply click on the search bar to select a pesticide from the Ation DB.

  • Option 2: Add Pesticide Manually If a pesticide is not in our database, you can enter the details manually. Please input the name, ingredients of action yourself.

Tip: It is best to pre-register the pesticides you have been prescribed. Once registered, they will appear in your list for easy selection when creating a record.

3. Creating a Pest Control Record

To log your activity, go to the Record menu (top left) and click the + Add Pest Control Record button (top right).

  1. Select the Date: Pick the date the pest control was performed.

  2. Select the Area: Choose the specific section or zone of your farm.

  3. Select the Pesticide: Click the + Add Pesticide button. You can then choose from your pre-registered list.

💡 Pro Strategy: Preventing Resistance

When selecting a pesticide, Ation shows you your recently used products. To prevent pests from developing resistance, it is crucial to rotate pesticides with different ingredients of action rather than using the same one repeatedly.

4. Completion

Finally, click the Create button. Your pest control record is now saved and added to your history!
