In-page discussion and social notes are an environment where facilitators can encourage discussion between learners. Sometimes as a facilitator you may feel there are some instances where hiding a post(s) is appropriate. Some examples are:
the discussion is no longer relevant, or
certain posts/notes are inappropriate.
How to hide an in-page discussion
Navigate to the course page.
Locate the post made by the learner.
Select the kebab menu.
Select Hide this message.
Once you have selected the Hide this message you will be prompted to provide a reason for why the channel post has been hidden. The reason will be displayed to the learners in the course:

Once the post has been muted, the post will display as follows:

How to mute a social note
Select the social note icon to view the social note you want to mute.
Select the HIDE icon.
Once you have selected the HIDE icon you will be prompted to provide a reason for why the social note has been muted. The reason will be displayed to the learners in the course:
