At iQualify, we understand that the internet is for everyone. As we develop iQualify, we use tools like screen readers and accessibility analysis applications to help improve and maintain our standard of accessibility.

We're committed to accessibility

We are committed to web standards, including the latest web standards for accessibility. iQualify uses the guidelines set out by the Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) called the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to ensure our platform is accessible meaning that anyone with access to the internet, on any device, assistive or other, can learn with us.

The work we do to make iQualify accessible means that it's possible for people using a keyboard or assistive device to:

  • navigate easily around the platform

  • know where they are within a course or a page

  • have headings and content read out to them

  • follow links

  • and complete tasks and quizzes.

How authors can help to make their content accessible

You can help to make your content accessible by taking these steps for common content elements:

  • When when embedding or linking to files for readings or additional information, make sure they can be supported by any device - PDF is best, and keep them below the maximum recommended file size of 300kb.

  • Add alt-text to images describing what the image portrays for use by screen readers.

  • Either use our inbuilt transcript option, so that people who aren't able to hear the video clearly can read the script whether online or offline, or add closed captions/subtitles to externally hosted videos, when you are certain learners won't be offline.

Give us feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of iQualify. Please let us know if you encounter accessibility barriers in iQualify.
