Using the similarity check before you submit your task
Turnitin enables you to check your work against other learner submissions and content on the internet to ensure you have referenced it properly before you submit it for feedback and/or marking.
β
Selecting Check content will generate a similarity report for you so you can check and review your submission to make sure you're happy with it before submitting for feedback and/or marking.
β
Tip: There is a minimum word count of 20 words before you can use the check content feature.
Viewing the similarity report
You'll see the Check content will change to View content check once the report is ready.
When you submit your task for marking and/or feedback your task will be re-checked and a similarity report will be provided to your education provider.
To view this report select previous attempts and View the attempt you want to see the similarity report for.
Tips
It can take some time for the submission to be processed, once submitted you'll see a hourglass while it's processing. You can leave the page, continue the course etc while you're waiting for this to complete.
You can only submit a content check twice in a day for any individual task. This will reset the next day if you need to run the content checker for that task again.
