In addition to Talk channels, Social notes let you and your learners have a discussion right next to the relevant content.
In your course you'll notice three icons on the bottom right of each item of content (text, video, picture etc.).
These three icons let you:
Take private notes just for yourself (Notes).
Add a comment about the content that others can see (Discuss).
Let your facilitator(s) know if there's something wrong with the content (Report).
In this article, we'll look at making social notes to discuss with others.
How to make a social note in your course
Find the part of the page where you want to add a note. Select the Discuss icon (comment icon in the middle) to bring up a space where you can add your comment.
When others add to conversations you've been a part of, you'll get an in-app notification (under the bell icon in the top right, next to your avatar).
Tip: If the Discuss icon has a green dot with a number next to it, it means there are already comments there to check out.
How to report a social note
If you see a post you think should be reported to the facilitator, select Report this message on the relevant post.
When you Report a message, it will hide the post for you, and your facilitator will be able to moderate the post. As with Likes, Reports are anonymous for learners and the person who wrote the post won’t be notified.
Note: Facilitators will see who made a report when they moderate.
