Deleting & Reinstalling Iris

To perform a fresh installation of the Iris application, follow these steps to ensure a clean setup.

Step 1: Quit Iris Agent

On the computer running the Iris Agent:

  • Mac: Locate the Iris icon in the status bar (top right). Right-click on the icon and select “Quit Iris Agent.”

  • Windows: Locate the Iris icon in the taskbar (bottom right). Right-click on the icon and select “Quit Iris Agent.”

Step 2: Uninstall the Previous Version

Remove the existing Iris application from your operating system:

  • Mac: Drag the Iris application from the Applications folder to the Trash.

  • Windows: Use the Add or Remove Programs feature in the Control Panel to uninstall Iris.

Step 3: Remove Directory and Contents

After uninstalling the application, delete the remaining Iris directory to ensure no residual files are left behind:

Mac:

Navigate to the following location and delete the folder:

/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Iris

Windows:

Go to your windows explorer. Inside the explorer, click "Show Hidden".
Navigate to the following location and delete the folder:

C:\\Users\\<username>\\AppData\\Roaming\\Iris

Step 4: Install Iris

After completing the steps above, you can proceed with a fresh installation of Iris. Refer to the Getting Started Guide for detailed installation instructions.
