Practice Mode: Test Your Live Before Going Live

What you will learn

This guide explains how to use practice mode to test your camera, your microphone and the seller screen before your live starts, with nobody watching. On iPhone it is called Modo de prática (Practice mode). On Android, Modo Teste (Test mode).

Before you start

You need:

  • An approved seller account on Jamble

  • A scheduled live that has not started yet

  • Your seller setup complete: email, address and payout account

  • Products added to the live (optional, but recommended for a full test)

How practice mode works

When you open a scheduled live that has not started yet, two buttons appear:

  • Iniciar Live (Go live): starts your real live, and buyers can join

  • Modo de prática (iPhone) or Modo Teste (Android): opens a private session just for you

In practice mode, nobody watches, nobody can buy and no follower is notified. The sales you start are test sales only and do not become purchases.

Step by step

Step 1: Open your scheduled live

Open the app and go to the live you scheduled. You see the countdown to the live time and the two buttons.

Step 2: Enter practice mode

Tap Modo de prática (iPhone) or Modo Teste (Android). On Android, confirm with Iniciar (Start) in the Iniciar Modo Teste? (Start test mode?) alert.

If any information is missing from your setup, the app shows what needs to be completed (on iPhone, the Live prática (Practice live) screen with Conclua para começar a praticar (Complete to start practicing)). Complete the details and try again.

If everything is set, your camera turns on and you see yourself as buyers will see you.

Step 3: Test the seller screen

In practice mode you can:

  • Check the camera: light, angle and background

  • Test the microphone: make sure the sound is good

  • See the product list of your live

  • Pin products as you would in the live

  • Start test sales in the Real-time offers, Comprar Agora (Buy now) and Morte Súbita (Sudden death) modes, to get used to the buttons

While practice mode is on, some actions are blocked, such as deleting or reordering listings. The app tells you when you need to leave practice first.

Step 4: Leave practice mode

  • On iPhone: tap Pare de praticar (Stop practice)

  • On Android: open the live menu and tap Encerrar Modo Teste (End test mode)

When you leave, test sales are discarded and your products stay ready for the real live.

Step 5: Go live

When you are ready, tap Iniciar Live. A confirmation appears:

  • On iPhone: Comece sua live (Start your live). Tap Sim, comece (Yes, start)

  • On Android: Iniciar sua live? (Start your live?). Tap Iniciar (Start)

From then on, people can join your live.

Important tips

  • Complete your setup first. Practice mode asks for almost the same details as the real live

  • Test light and sound. These are the most common problems for new sellers

  • Practice before every live, if you want. Practice mode is not only for the first time

  • Do not leave practice open without using it. A session that stays idle or offline for a long time may end automatically

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to practice before going live? No, it is optional. But if it is your first live, it is worth testing for a few minutes.

Can anyone see me during practice? No. The session is private and no follower is notified.

Can buyers buy my products during practice? No. Sales started in practice are test sales only.

Does practice use my real products? Yes, you practice with the products in your live, but nothing is sold.

Can I go back to practice mode after going live? No. Practice is only available before the live starts.

I do not see the practice mode button. What do I do? Make sure you opened a scheduled live that has not started yet. If it still does not appear, update the app to the latest version.
