Cloning Items

What you'll learn

This guide explains how to clone products on Jamble. Cloning lets you quickly add products from your previous lives or from your Shop into a live, without creating each listing from scratch. You'll learn the two cloning sources, how to use each one, and what gets copied when you clone.

Before you start

You need:

  • An approved seller account on Jamble

  • A scheduled or ongoing live to add products to

  • Existing products in another live, or listings in your Shop

Why clone instead of creating new listings

If you're selling similar items across multiple lives, or listing again products that didn't sell, creating each listing from scratch is slow and repetitive.

Cloning copies the details of an existing product (title, description, price, photos, category, size, color, condition, and shipping profile) into your live. You can then edit any detail on the clone without affecting the original.

The two cloning sources

Everything starts on the same screen, Clone listings:

  • From your shop: bring the listings you have in your Shop into the live. This option shows at the top of the screen when you have listings in your Shop

  • Or clone from past lives: pick products from any of your other lives

Both sources work before the live and during the live.

Where it's available: the From your shop source is in the iPhone app and in the Seller Hub. In the Android app, for now, you can only clone from past lives.

Where to find it

In the app: open your live and tap the + button. You'll see an action sheet. Tap Clone listings. You also find Clone listings right after you create a live.

iOS action sheet with three options to add products to your live: New Quickie Listing, Clone listings, and Cancel

On Android, use the option to clone from past shows, in the same menu.

In the Seller Hub: open the live and click Clone listings.

Clone from your Shop

  1. On the Clone listings screen, tap From your shop.

  2. On the Clone shop listings screen, you see your Shop listings with photo, title, price, and quantity. Use Search listings to find a listing by name.

  3. Tap the listings you want to bring in.

  4. Tap Clone N listings.

A listing cloned from the Shop joins the live as Real-time offers, with the Shop price as the starting amount. Review the sell mode and the price before you go live.

Important: the original listing stays for sale in your Shop. If the product sells in the live, update or remove the Shop listing so you don't sell the same product twice.

Clone from past lives

Step 1: Browse your lives

On the Clone listings screen, under Or clone from past lives, you see a list of your lives, both past and upcoming. Each live displays its title, date, and product count.

Step 2: Select products from a live

Tap a live to see its products. The Select Listings screen shows the live's details at the top. Each product shows its image, title, quantity available, and price.

Select Listings screen with Fashion Finds Friday show details at top, three products (Nike Air Max 90 selected, Vintage T-shirt unselected, Levis 501 Jeans marked as Added) and Clone button at the bottom

Tap a product to select it, a checkmark appears. Products that have already been cloned into your current live appear greyed out with (Added) and can't be selected again.

You can go back and select products from multiple lives before cloning. The counter at the bottom shows how many products you've selected in total.

Step 3: Clone the products

When you're done selecting, tap Clone N listings at the bottom (where N is the number of selected products). The selected products are copied into your live.

What gets copied when you clone

When you clone a product, these details are copied:

  • Title

  • Description

  • Photos

  • Price and retail price

  • Sell mode (Real-time offers, Sudden Death, or Buy It Now), when you clone from a past live

  • Flash Sale settings (if enabled), when you clone from a past live

  • Shipping profile

  • Category (gender, category, subcategory)

  • Size and color

  • Condition

  • Brand

  • Quantity

The clone is a new product in your live. You can edit any field on the clone without affecting the original.

What does NOT get copied

  • Sale history, the cloned product starts fresh with no offers or purchases

  • Position in the live, the clone is added at the end of your product list

  • Sold status, even if the original was sold, the clone starts as available

Rules and limitations

  • You can't clone the same product twice into the same live. If a product has already been cloned into your current live, it appears greyed out with (Added) and can't be selected again

  • You can select from multiple lives. Browse different lives and select products from each before cloning them all at once

  • You can't clone into a live that has ended

  • Edits on a clone are independent. Changing the price, title, or any detail on a cloned product does not affect the original

Important tips

  • Clone to save time. If you regularly sell similar items, clone from your last live and just update what changed (price, size, condition)

  • Clone unsold items. Had a product that didn't sell in your last live? Clone it into your next one, no need to recreate it

  • Review after cloning. Make sure the price, sell mode, condition, and photos are right for this live

  • Clone and edit is faster than creating new. Even if you need to change several fields, starting from a clone is faster than filling in the entire form from scratch

Common questions

Does cloning duplicate my stock? The clone is a new listing. It doesn't share stock with the original. That's why, when you clone from the Shop, the Shop listing stays for sale: if the product sells in one of them, update the other.

Can I clone products from another seller? No. You can only clone your own products, from your lives and your Shop.

Can I clone during a live? Yes. You can clone from your Shop and from past lives while you're live. This is useful if you forgot to add a product or if a buyer asks about something from a previous live.

Why don't I see the From your shop option? It only shows when you have listings in your Shop. In the Android app, it isn't available yet: use the iPhone app or the Seller Hub.

Can I clone a product and change its sell mode? Yes. After cloning, you can edit the clone and change any field, including the sell mode. For example, you could clone a Buy It Now product and change it to Real-time offers.

What happens if I delete the original product? Nothing happens to the clone. Once a product is cloned, it's an independent listing. Deleting or modifying the original doesn't affect the clone.
