Shipping via Correios (PAC/SEDEX)
What you'll learn
How Correios shipping works on Jamble: which services exist, how the service for each order is chosen, how shipping is calculated and what happens from the label to the delivery.
Before you start
You need an approved Jamble seller account
Your shipping address and preferences need to be set up. See Shipping settings
How shipping works on Jamble
The sale happens, in a live or in the Loja
The buyer pays for shipping at checkout, calculated automatically
You generate the Correios label through Jamble, in the app or in the Seller Hub
You pack and drop off the parcel at a Correios agency or drop-off point
Tracking appears for you and the buyer
You do not need to buy a label elsewhere or negotiate prices with Correios. All Jamble labels are Correios labels.
The Correios services
Mini: the cheapest, for small and light items. It is usually slower, with simpler tracking
PAC: standard delivery, with a lower cost
SEDEX: faster delivery. It is always on, because it is the only service available on every route
In Preferências de envio (Shipping preferences), you choose whether you accept Mini and PAC. SEDEX cannot be turned off.
How the service for each order is chosen
Two things define the service:
The services you accept in your preferences
The buyer's delivery preference: Mais barato (Cheapest) or Premium, which they set in their own settings
With Mais barato, Jamble uses the cheapest service available for that parcel among the ones you accept. With Premium, Jamble gives priority to SEDEX. The service also depends on the parcel: Mini, for example, only works for small and light items and does not cover every route.
How shipping is calculated
Shipping is calculated automatically. It depends on:
The weight and size of the parcel, based on what is on the product
The distance between your shipping address and the buyer's address
The service used, according to the services you accept and the buyer's preference
When the buyer gets several of your items, each extra item only adds the difference in shipping. See Bundled shipments.
The buyer pays for shipping at checkout. Jamble's commission is calculated on the product price, without shipping.
Label and drop-off
You generate the label from the parcel, with Adicionar Etiqueta (Add label), and open it with Ver Etiqueta (See label). In the Seller Hub, use Imprimir Etiqueta (Print label). The step by step is in Generate and print shipping labels.
To drop it off, take the parcel to a Correios agency or drop-off point. In Envios (Shipments), each parcel shows the Ponto de entrega mais próximo (Closest drop-off point), with the Ver no mapa (See on map) option. In the Seller Hub, use Encontrar um ponto de postagem (Find a drop-off point).
Tracking
When Correios registers the parcel, tracking appears in the order for you and the buyer. In Envios, you follow the status of each parcel, such as Enviado (Shipped), Entregue (Delivered), Falha na entrega (Delivery failed) or Devolvido (Returned).
If tracking stops updating, open the parcel in Envios and tap Atualizar rastreio (Refresh tracking; on Android, Atualizar). If it is still stuck, contact support.
Delivery time depends on the service and the distance. Long routes and more remote areas usually take longer.
Important tips
Ship quickly. The exact deadline to ship appears in the order, under Prazo de envio (Shipping deadline). The sooner you drop it off, the sooner the buyer receives it
Enter the right weight and size on the product. This keeps shipping fair and avoids problems at drop-off
Keep your default address up to date. It is the sender address on the label
Keep Mini and PAC on if your items allow it. More options usually make shipping cheaper for the buyer
Frequently asked questions
Who pays for shipping? The buyer, at checkout.
Can I use another carrier or a label I bought myself? No. Always use the Correios label generated by Jamble. It is what connects the tracking to the order.
Can I choose the service for each order? Not order by order. In your preferences you set which services you accept, and Jamble picks among them based on the parcel and the buyer's preference.
What if the agency refuses the parcel? Check that the packaging is well closed and that the parcel matches the product's weight and size. If it does not match, contact support before trying again. See Make a shipping adjustment.
What if the parcel is lost or comes back to me? Contact support in the app chat. If the parcel comes back, see What to do if a shipment is returned to you.
