Shipping settings
What you'll learn
How to get everything ready to ship before your first sale: the address your parcels leave from, the Correios services you accept, the label format and the shipping profiles of your products. You will also see how to change these settings later, in the app or in the Seller Hub.
Before you start
You need:
An approved Jamble seller account
The address you will ship from, with its CEP (postal code)
To know whether you will print on a regular printer or on a thermal printer
Step 1: Add your shipping address
Your shipping address is where your parcels leave from. It goes on the label as the sender and is used to calculate the shipping the buyer pays.
In the app, open Ajustes (Settings; on Android, Configurações)
Tap Endereços de remessa (Shipping addresses; on Android, Endereços de Entrega)
Add your address. When you type the CEP, the app helps fill in the street, neighborhood, city and state. Complete the number and, if needed, the complement
Mark the address as default with Definir como padrão (Set as default)
The address marked Padrão (Default) is the one used on your labels. If you have more than one address, check which one is the default before generating labels.
Moved? Add the new address and set it as default. The change applies to your next labels. Labels already generated keep the old address.
Step 2: Open your shipping preferences
In Ajustes, in the Vender (Sell) section, tap Preferências de envio (Shipping preferences). On this screen you choose the Correios services and the label format. After changing what you want, tap Salvar (Save).
Correios services
All Jamble labels are Correios labels. Under Serviços de transporte (Carrier services), you choose which services you accept:
Correios Mini: the cheapest, for small and light items. It is usually slower, with simpler tracking. The weight limit is shown in the option's description
Correios PAC: standard delivery, with a lower cost for the buyer
Correios Sedex: always on, because it is the only service available on every route. You cannot uncheck it
You can turn Mini and PAC on or off. Keeping both on gives more options and usually makes shipping cheaper for the buyer. When the label is generated, Jamble picks an available service among the ones you accepted.
As the app notes on this screen, your choice of services applies to your next labels, including those of existing orders.
Label format
Under Tipo de arquivo da etiqueta (Label file type), choose the format that fits your printer:
Meia página (Half page): best for regular printers. This is the default
Página inteira (Full page): one label per page
Térmica (Thermal): for thermal label printers
If you are not sure, start with Meia página. The chosen format applies to your next labels. A label that was already generated does not change format.
Step 3: Set the weight and size of your products
The shipping cost of each product depends on the weight and size of the parcel. When you create a product, you choose how to provide this:
Automático (Automatic): Jamble estimates the weight and size from the item type
Informar peso e tamanho (Enter weight and size): you pick the weight and size ranges of the parcel
One of your shipping profiles: a template with the real weight and measurements, which you reuse across several products
To create profiles, open Ajustes and tap Meus Perfis de Envio (My shipping profiles). See the step by step in Choose a shipping profile.
The closer to the real parcel, the fairer the shipping cost for the buyer and the fewer problems you have at drop-off.
On your computer
In the Seller Hub (jamble.com/seller/dashboard), open Envios (Shipping). There you find:
Endereços (Addresses): your shipping addresses and which one is the default
Perfis de Envio (Shipping profiles): create, edit and delete profiles
Preferências de Envio (Shipping preferences): Correios services and label format
What you change on your computer also applies in the app. Learn more in Seller Hub: sell from your computer.
How shipping works for you
You do not set the shipping price. Jamble calculates it automatically from the weight and size of the parcel, the distance between you and the buyer, and the services available
The buyer pays for shipping at checkout. Jamble's commission is calculated on the product price, without shipping
You generate the label through Jamble and take the parcel to a Correios agency or drop-off point
Important tips
Set everything up before your first live. Without a default address, you cannot generate labels
Check your default address before generating labels. The label uses the default address at the moment it is generated
Weigh and measure your products already packed. This avoids wrong shipping costs and problems at the agency
Test the label format on your first print, before printing many at once
Frequently asked questions
Can I use a carrier other than Correios? No. All Jamble labels are Correios labels.
Why can't I uncheck Sedex? Sedex is always on because it is the only service that covers every route. This way, every order always has at least one shipping option.
Who chooses between cheaper or faster delivery? The buyer. They set their delivery preference in their own settings. Jamble uses that preference together with the services you accept.
Does changing my settings affect labels I already generated? No. Labels already generated stay as they are. Changes apply to your next labels.
Do I need a thermal printer? No. A regular printer works well with Meia página or Página inteira. A thermal printer is more practical if you ship a lot.
How do I generate the label after a sale? See the step by step in Generate and print shipping labels.
