To be eligible for a rewards redemption:

  • Your Debbie rewards balance has to hit the $50 mark.

  • You must have your partner account connected.

  • Your partner account must have a balance more than $0.01

You must have a linked and active partner account to redeem rewards. This applies universally, whether withdrawing rewards via check, PayPal, or a partner banking account. For example, if you use a SoFi account, a checking or savings account must be connected and updating daily in the app.

Do I Need a Partner Account?

Rewards require an active and connected partner account in order to be redeemed. If your partner checking or savings account is closed, please send us a message so we can match you with a new partner. If you encounter issues activating your partner bank account or logging in:

  1. Verify Your Online Banking Credentials: Make sure you can access your partner bank’s online banking portal. Resolve any login issues directly with the partner bank.

  2. Address Activation Problems: Contact your partner bank to activate your card.

  3. Complete Account Linking: After resolving these issues, return to the Debbie app to complete the account setup and start earning rewards.

What happens when I tap Redeem?

You will be prompted to select which account to deposit your rewards into (checking or savings) through ACH direct deposit.

If our system is down, you will be asked to enter your address to redeem via check instead

Once you've initiated your redemption, expect the payment to arrive within 7-10 business days.

Why does it take so long?

Debbie requires your rewards to go through a processing stage before they can be disbursed to your connected account. This processing time is necessary to ensure back-end verification and secure transactions.

Business days do not include weekends or public holidays.

Why can I only use a partner account?

Our partnered credit unions love gaining new members, and in turn, they pay us, which covers the cost of your rewards. Debbie aims to expand its partner network and introduce new options to make reward redemption accessible for more users in the future.

If you are unable to open a matched partner account, Debbie cannot currently unlock reward redemption. If you are unable to open an account with any approved partner banks, we recommend continuing to utilize the app's financial wellness tools and resources. Additionally, keep an eye out for updates as we work to expand our network of partnering banks.

Your rewards will not expire, and you can continue using the app for free. Debbie is working to expand partnerships and offer more options in the future. If your matched partner account has been closed, you will not be able to redeem rewards at this time

Options for Users Ineligible for Partner Accounts

If you cannot redeem rewards due to ineligibility with our partner banks, here are some steps you can take:

  1. Continue Using Debbie's Education Resources: Leverage the app’s tools to enhance your financial skills, even without redeeming rewards.

  2. Stay Informed on Updates: Debbie is actively expanding the partner network, which might open up more opportunities for you in the future.

By focusing on personal financial growth and staying engaged, you can continue benefiting from the platform until more redemption options are introduced.

Summary

  • Rewards processing takes up to 10 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).

  • Ensure you have an active and connected partner account for redemption.

  • If your account is closed, message support to find a new partner match.
