Completing Lab Tests Without Access to a Quest Diagnostics or Labcorp Center
If you are unable to visit Quest Diagnostics, Labcorp, or BioReference Labs, there are alternative options and procedures to ensure your lab tests can still be completed. Please keep in mind that going outside of these partner labs will not be covered in the cost of your membership. Whatever the cash pay price is at the lab or your insurance covers will be the price you have to pay. Fridays does not reimburse, or cover any portion of these labs.
Alternative Lab Testing Options
Generic Lab Form If you don’t have a partner lab nearby, your provider can provide you with a generic lab order. This can be used at any lab of your choice. Please note that while the lab testing may be free through Quest Diagnostics or LabCorp if you subscribe to Fridays’ services, costs can vary when using other labs. Generic Lab orders are not issued as a standard practice. You are able to request on through the chat within your patient portal.
Overview of Lab Testing Requirements
The required lab tests typically include: - Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) - Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH) - Lipid Panel - Hemoglobin A1C (HgbA1C)
Fasting Requirements:
In general, fasting for 8 hours (except for sips of water) is strongly recommended before taking these tests.
Small sips of water are encouraged throughout the fasting period. Avoid coffee or any other beverages, as they can impact test results.
If you forget to fast: Notify the lab staff, as fasting-dependent tests may require rescheduling to ensure accuracy.
Submitting Lab Results
To submit your lab results from a non partner lab please download or request a PDF that contains your name, date of birth, lab site address, and date drawn.
Upload that document in the 'Document Center' under Labs.
Alternatively share them as an attachment in an email to support@joinfridays.com.
