The Client Callback template in ScribbleVet is a built-in template designed for documenting phone conversations with clients, including follow-up calls, post-appointment check-ins, discussing lab results, and similar client communication. Instead of generating a traditional SOAP note, it creates structured call documentation.
Before you begin
The Client Callback template is only available on the Unleashed plan. It complements ScribbleVet's Direct Dial feature. However, you can also use the template independently to document client phone calls even if you are not placing calls through Direct Dial.
Record a client callback
Before recording, select the Client Callback template so that ScribbleVet formats the conversation as structured call documentation.
Create a new visit or appointment in ScribbleVet.
Select Client Callback from the template picker.
Record your phone conversation with the client.
End the recording. ScribbleVet will automatically generate structured call notes based on the conversation.
After processing, your documentation will be formatted as a client callback rather than a SOAP note.

Customize the Client Callback template
You can create your own version of the Client Callback template to match your documentation preferences. For example, you can add follow-up sections, change formatting, or reorganize the note structure.
Go to Templates.
Select the built-in Client Callback template.
Click Copy and customize.
Edit, add, or remove sections as needed.
Save your customized template.
Your customized version can then be selected whenever you document client phone calls.

Does the Client Callback template generate a SOAP note?
No. It generates structured call documentation rather than a SOAP note.
Do I need to use Direct Dial to use the Client Callback template?
No. While the template is included with the Unleashed plan because it pairs well with the Direct Dial feature, it can also be used to document client phone conversations that were not made through Direct Dial.
Can I customize the Client Callback template?
Yes. The Client Callback template is fully customizable. You can create your own version from the Templates tab by selecting the built-in Client Callback template and clicking Copy and customize.
