Kernel offers kids accounts to anyone who is under the age of 18.
Parents or legal guardians can set up a kids account on behalf of their child, the child themselves is unable to open the account.
There are cases in which we accept account opening requests from adults who aren't the child's legal guardian, such as an aunt or uncle, however, this is on a case-by-case basis. In this instance, please email our Customer Support team at support@kernelwealth.co.nz to request an account opening.
