Troubleshooting HubSpot Integration Issues

This article explains how to solve problems when connecting Kickscale with HubSpot, especially if you don’t have the required access rights.

Why access rights matter

Kickscale needs specific permissions in HubSpot to sync Contacts, Companies, Deals, Calls, and more.

If your HubSpot user account does not have these rights, the integration will fail or data will not sync correctly.

RECOMMENDED: Variant 1: Connect with a Super Admin

The easiest way to set up the integration is by signing in with a Super Admin account.

This account already has all necessary rights and avoids manual permission changes.

Variant 2: Adjust permissions if no Super Admin is available

If you cannot use a Super Admin account, make sure the connecting user has the following rights:

  1. Go to Settings → Users & Teams in HubSpot.

  2. Select the user who will connect Kickscale.

  3. Activate the following permissions:

Step 3: Reconnect the integration

After updating the permissions:

  1. Reconnect the HubSpot app and confirm the requested permissions.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Always use a dedicated integration user or Super Admin to avoid permission changes later.

  • Double-check if HubSpot Teams restrictions block access to certain data.

  • If you still face issues, remove the integration in HubSpot and reconnect it from scratch.
