What Are Chat Prompt Templates?

Chat Prompt Templates are custom, reusable prompts you create.

They help you run faster workflows, stay consistent, and reduce manual typing.

You decide the name, the prompt content, and where each template should appear.

How to Create Chat Prompt Templates

There are two simple ways to create new templates.

Option 1: Create a Prompt from User Settings

  1. Open your User Settings.

  2. Go to the Chat Prompts section.

  3. Click Create Prompt.

  4. Enter a name for your prompt.

  5. Add the prompt text you want to reuse.

  6. Choose the Applicable Chats.

    • For example, enable it only for Deals or only for Meetings.

  7. Save your prompt.

Your new template now appears in the selected chat views.

Option 2: Create a Prompt from an Existing Chat Message

You can turn any message you already sent into a template.

  1. Open an AI chat in a Deal, Call, or Meeting.

  2. Find a message you sent.

  3. Click the small plus icon under that message.

  4. Confirm that you want to save it as a template.

  5. Give your prompt a name and adjust the text if needed.

This method is great for testing prompts and saving the ones that work best for you.

Using Chat Prompt Templates in Chats

When you open a Deal, Meeting, or Call chat, you will see your available templates displayed as chips above the chat input field.

To use them:

  1. Click the template chip.

  2. The prompt text pre-fills the chat field.

  3. Hit Enter to send it immediately.

You can access prompt management anytime by clicking the small settings icon next to the chips.

Why Use Reusable Chat Prompts?

Reusable prompts help you:

  • Save time by avoiding repetitive typing.

  • Build workflows that match your sales process.

  • Keep your best prompts organized directly inside Kickscale.

They help integrate the AI chat more deeply into your daily work.
