How to Activate Audio-Only for Video Calls

Welcome to Kickscale! This guide helps you configure your recording preferences. You can choose to store only audio files for your team.

Turning off video storage activates the audio-only mode. This feature helps teams with limited internet bandwidth. It also respects the privacy preferences of your clients during Customer Conversations.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps to activate audio-only mode:

  1. Click the Settings icon on the bottom-left navigation menu.

  2. Choose the Workspace tab at the top of your screen.

  3. Scroll down to the Video Recording & Retention section.

  4. Look for the Video Recording toggle.

  5. Switch the toggle off to stop storing video recordings.

  6. Click the Save button to confirm your changes.

Troubleshooting

  • The workpsace tab does not show: You might lack admin permissions. Only workspace administrators can change these global settings.

  • Settings did not update: You must click the Save button inside that specific section. Refreshing the page without saving loses your changes.
