This feature is not enabled by default. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to request access, use the feature, and upload your recordings to the Kickscale Platform.
🔓 Requesting Access to Microphone Recording
Before you can use the microphone recording feature, you need to request access from the Kickscale Team.
Simply email us at support@kickscale.com with your request.
Once access is granted, you’ll see a microphone button in the top-right corner of the Recordings tab in the Chrome Extension.
🎙 How to Record Audio
Click the microphone button in the upper right of the Recordings tab.
The extension will ask for permission to access your microphone. Make sure to allow this.
You can manage your microphone permissions in Chrome settings
Once permission is granted, the chrome extension will be able to record your microphone input.
To stop the recording, click the microphone button again.
💾 Saving and Uploading the Recording
After you stop the recording:
The audio file will be saved locally within the extension.
The extension will automatically open a new tab in the Kickscale Platform with the Upload Dialog open.
From here, you can upload your audio file directly.
💡 Tips and Best Practices
Use a headset or external microphone for clearer audio quality.
Make sure to test your microphone setup before recording important audio.
If you accidentally deny microphone access, revisit your Chrome settings to re-enable it.

Problem: I don’t see the microphone button in the Chrome Extension.
Solution: The feature might not be enabled for your account. Contact us at support@kickscale.com to request access.
Problem: I’m getting a “microphone access denied” message.
Solution: Go to Chrome microphone settings and ensure that permissions are granted for the Kickscale extension.
