Have you ever wished you could just show someone your screen instead of trying to explain what’s going wrong? Well, you’re in luck! With Kit, connecting with a Customer Happiness Agent is as easy as clicking a button. Follow the steps below to get started:

Accepting the Call Invitation

Step 1: Join the Call:

In your chat window, you’ll see a message from the support agent with a prompt to join the call. Click the Answer provided to begin the call.

Step 2: Grant Permissions:

When prompted, allow the site to access your microphone and camera.

Sharing Your Screen

Sharing your screen lets the support agent see what you’re looking at. It’s super helpful if you’re having trouble navigating a page or learning a new feature. You can share your screen by following the steps below.

Step 1: Click the Screen Share Button:

In the call toolbar at the bottom of the page, click the “Screen Share” button (a rectangle icon with an arrow pointing upward).

Step 2: Select What to Share:

A popup will appear asking what you’d like to share:

  • Entire Screen: Share everything on your screen.

  • Window: Share a specific program or application (e.g., a browser or document).

  • Browser Tab: Share only a specific tab in your browser.

Step 3: Confirm Your Choice:

Click on the screen, window, or tab you want to share, and then click “Share.”

1. Can’t See the Screen Share Option?

Make sure you’re using a supported browser like Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

2. Permission Issues?

Your browser may block screen sharing. Try the following steps below to see if that helps:

  • On a Mac: Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Screen Recording to enable screen sharing for your browser.

  • On a Windows device: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security. On the left sidebar, click Camera and Microphone. Ensure access is turned on for both “Let apps access your camera/microphone”.

3. Connection Problems?

If your call or screen share lags, try closing other tabs or applications that may be slowing your internet.
