When you enable the unit conversion feature in Kiwi Size Chart & Recommender, the system only processes numerical values for conversion. As a result, text or symbols cannot be input into the table cells, which will appear blank if non-numerical values are entered. This is simply how the app operates with unit conversion. For example, cells including non-numerical characters such as dashes, text, or symbols like '%' will not be processed and will appear blank. However, fractions (e.g., "31 1/2") are acceptable if they are input as numerical values.
Managing Blank Cells
Your customers might notice these blank cells in the table, and you’ll want to provide an explanation. You have two options:
Disable Unit Conversion – This allows you to input text or symbols in the table without any issues. Before disabling unit conversion, review your size chart and correct any non-numeric entries to ensure proper data usage.
Add a “Text” Layout Block – If you need to keep unit conversion enabled, you can add a “Text” block to your size chart that explains the blank cells. For example, you can write: “Please note that the blank cells in the table indicate that no length is available in that size.”
Steps to Add a “Text” Layout Block
Open your size chart in the Kiwi Dashboard.
Scroll down and click the “Add Layout Block” button.
Select “Text” from the list of layout blocks.
Add the necessary information to inform your customers about the blank cells.
Don't forget to click "Save."
