Translating Measurement Labels Like “Chest” and “Waist” in Kiwi Size Chart

If you’ve already published your translations in but labels like CHEST, WAIST, or SLEEVE LENGTH are still showing in English, this is expected behavior.

What Kiwi Can Translate

Kiwi’s built-in translation system supports customer-facing text such as:

  • Size chart button text

  • Recommender prompts

  • Result messages

  • Headers and tabs

  • Error messages

  • Product names and similar fields

You can manage these translations from:

Kiwi App → Translations

You can either:

  • manually edit each language

  • or use Auto-translate

Note: Auto-translate will overwrite any existing edits for that language.

What Kiwi Cannot Translate Natively

The labels inside the size chart table itself are not currently translatable within Kiwi.

Examples include:

  • CHEST

  • WAIST

  • HIP

  • SLEEVE LENGTH

These are treated as measurement labels rather than customer-facing translation fields.

How to Translate Measurement Labels

To translate measurement labels automatically on your storefront, you’ll need to use a third-party storefront translation app.

Popular options include:

These apps detect storefront text and translate it into the visitor’s selected language, including the measurement labels in your size charts.
