Create one combined note when a recording was split while keeping the original session records clear.
Klarify does not currently combine two session records into one. If a recording was interrupted and produced two sessions, you can create one combined note while the original sessions remain separate.
First check whether the session is only stuck
If one session still says Uploading, Processing Audio, or Generating note, do not create a second session immediately. Follow Fix a session that is stuck uploading or processing first so you do not create an avoidable duplicate.
Combine material after both sessions finish
Confirm that both sessions belong to the same client or group.
Open the later session and generate or open its note.
Select the Klara button at the top of the note.
Add only the relevant transcript or reviewed note text from the earlier session.
Ask Klara to combine both parts into one chronological note without duplicating repeated material.
Check the client or group, date, participants, timeline, quotations, clinical statements, and plan.
Save and sign off only after review.
This changes the note you are editing. It does not merge the two original session records, transcripts, retention dates, or audit history.
If the audio files have not been uploaded
Klarify does not merge audio files for you. Merge them on your own device, using whatever tool you trust with client audio, then upload the combined file as one session. Session recordings contain health information, so avoid free websites that process your files on their servers.
After combining the files:
Open Record.
Select Upload → Recording.
Choose the combined file.
Assign the correct client or group.
Review the resulting transcript and note.
Keep or delete the originals carefully
Do not delete either session until the combined note has been reviewed and your record-retention obligations are satisfied. Session, transcript, and audio deletion can be permanent.
