Merging Sessions
There is currently no way to merge sessions directly within Klarify - but there are two workarounds you can use today.
Why does this happen?
Sessions commonly get split into two recordings due to:
Internet cutting out mid-session
Switching from video to phone audio during a session
A phone screen going to sleep/screensaver mode during recording, ending the session unexpectedly
A browser tab or app interruption
Workaround 1: Merge Notes Using "Edit with AI" (Recommended)
If you already have two separate sessions in Klarify, you can combine them into one note using the Edit with AI feature:
Open the first session and copy its transcript
Open the second session
Click "Edit with AI" (the purple button at the top right)
Press "+" in the Edit with AI interface to load the transcript
Paste the transcript from the first session into the chat box
Ask the AI: "Please combine these two sessions into one note - they were from the same session that got split up."
The AI will merge both parts into one complete clinical note.
Workaround 2: Merge Audio Files Before Uploading
If you haven't uploaded the recordings yet, you can merge the audio files outside of Klarify first, then upload the combined file as a single session.
There are several free tools you can use to do this:
Mac: GarageBand or Audacity
Windows: Audacity or the built-in Voice Recorder app
Online (any device): Clideo or Audio Joiner
Once merged, upload the combined file to Klarify as a single session.
