How does KodyOrder work for customers?
Using KodyOrder is simple. Customers scan the QR code placed on a table, room tent card, or signage and are taken to your branded online menu. They can easily browse through categories, select items, add optional extras, and pay securely online. Orders are instantly processed and sent to the CMS system, and directly to your kitchen printer.
Managing Kody Order with the CMS
Kody’s Content Management System (CMS) gives you full control of your digital ordering experience, allowing you to monitor orders, edit menus, manage staff, and your store's settings - all from one place.
Check new orders and mark them as complete when ready
You can now track every order from start to finish in our CMS. Just head to the Transactions tab to monitor live orders coming in, and view older orders already completed. You can filter by time and order status, and even mark an order as complete right from the detail page.
Manage your menu
Menu Management
Click the Inventory tab to manually add and edit items. You can customize item name, price, image, category and availability. You can also import items to the system in bulk by uploading a CSV file.
Categories can be added and edited via the side menu bar. Don't forget to upload images for each category!
2. Add-on Management
Click into the Add-ons & Extras tab to configure your add-ons. These might be small additions or modifiers to your items, such as sauces on a burger, or milk type in a latte. You can also create add-on groups, and configure selection limits. If you would like to import add-ons in bulk, you have the option to upload a CSV file here.
3. Linking Add-ons to Items
Once your add-ons are ready, return to the item list and link each item with the appropriate add-on or add-on group.
Manage your store branding in Kody CMS
You can manage your store branding in the Kody CMS by setting your store name, logo image, opening hours, and expected order wait time.
In the White-labelling section, you can also customise the font and brand colour to match your brand identity.
Manage your service charge and print out the QR code
You can automatically add on a service charge to your customers' final bill, which you can enable and configure in the “Merchant - Customer Charges” section.
Once that’s done, head to the “Merchant - QR Code Printing” section to print out the counter or table QR code for display. Table QR codes are linked to a table number, Counter codes are not.
Common questions
What if my store has multiple branches?
You can manage each location independently in the CMS — including separate menus, staff, and settings. Please contact your account manager for help with configuration.
Do customers need to download an app to use Kody Order?
Nope! Kody Order is browser-based. Customers simply scan the QR code and are taken directly to the ordering page.
Does Kody Order support multiple languages?
Yes! Kody Order currently supports English and Chinese. You can upload different versions of your menu in the CMS, and customers can choose their preferred language when ordering. It will automatically switch to your customer's preferred language based on their browser settings.
What devices are compatible with Kody Order?
Kody Order works on all modern browsers.
