PowerSchool now expires Schoology administrator tokens every 90 days as a security precaution.
This applies specifically to PowerSchool-Schoology integrations.
When the administrator token expires, the integration will stop syncing until an IT administrator at the school reauthorises the connection through Edlink.
If your PowerSchool-Schoology integration has stopped syncing, you may need to reconnect the administrator account.
Before You Begin
You’ll need to be an IT administrator with the appropriate administrator access to the school’s Schoology account.
You’ll also need access to the Edlink account used to set up the PowerSchool-Schoology integration.
Important: Please do not delete and recreate the existing data source. Reconnecting the administrator account preserves the existing integration and data connections.
Step 1: Log into Your Edlink Account
Log into your Edlink account.
Having trouble signing in? Ensure you're using the same email you used to set up the integration. If the issue persists, try resetting your password.
Click Sources in the left-hand sidebar.
Select the data source you need to troubleshoot.
Step 2: Reconnect Your Admin Account
Step 3: Save and Validate (This Step is Critical)
After reconnecting, click Save Configuration.
Then, click Validate Configuration to confirm the setup.
Note: When the connection is successful, green checkmarks will appear
If validation fails:
Make sure the account you reconnected in Step 2 is an Admin or Super Admin account, then try again.
Connecting as a New Admin
If you’re a new admin setting up your account:
Make sure you’ve received an invitation to join the team in Edlink.
Create your Edlink account using that invitation.
Once your account is ready, follow the steps above to connect your admin account.
