How do I make a money transfer?

You can make transfers both in the Kontist mobile app and in our WebApp. At Kontist, transfers are possible only in euros and within the SEPA area.

How to create a transfer

  1. On the Banking screen, tap “Transfers.”

  2. Select a recipient from your contact list or enter a new one.

  3. Enter the amount and, optionally, a reference, then tap “Next.”

  4. A summary of the transfer appears. Here you can optionally

    • attach a receipt,

    • assign a category, or

    • add a private note visible only to you.

  5. Confirm the transfer with Touch ID / Face ID or other biometric data.

    • If biometrics aren’t available on your phone, you can authorize with an SMS TAN instead.

    • In Online Banking, every transfer is confirmed with an SMS TAN.

Important: Once a transfer is confirmed, it cannot be reversed.

Managing your contacts

A contact is saved automatically the first time you send them a transfer.

To edit or delete a contact:

  1. On the Banking screen, tap “Transfer.”

  2. Find the contact you want to modify.

  3. Tap the three dots to the right of the contact.

  4. In the contact details that open, you can delete the contact or edit their information—for example, if they have a new bank account.

Photo or QR‑code transfers

If you don’t want to type in all the details manually, you can scan a QR code or an invoice/photo.

  1. On the Banking screen, tap “Transfers.”

  2. Tap “New transfer.”

  3. Tap “Scan QR code or invoice.”

  4. Scan the QR code or the invoice.

  5. On the summary screen, check that everything is correct (you can still edit individual fields). Then authorize the transfer.

  6. If you used a photo transfer, the receipt is automatically attached to the transaction.

I can’t confirm my transfer—what can I do?

  • Make sure you have a stable internet connection.

  • If you aren’t receiving an SMS TAN, activate Touch ID / Face ID / biometrics in your phone settings and in the app settings, and approve the transfer that way.

Is there a transfer limit?

There is no predefined transfer limit—the only limit is your current account balance.

How to download a transfer confirmation

Open your transaction overview, select the desired transfer, tap “View transfer confirmation,” and then download the document.
