Rest assured, pensions are completely taken care of as part of our comprehensive service. We handle all aspects of pension management for your nanny, allowing you to focus on what matters most - your family.

What we handle

  • Complete Automatic Enrolment: We carry out all of your duties as an employer related to automatic enrolment, including the declaration of compliance to The Pensions Regulator.

  • Employer Contributions: Our hourly rate includes your statutory contributions to your nanny's pension scheme, so there are no hidden costs or additional payments required.

  • Administration: We manage all ongoing pension administration, including processing opt-outs, handling communications with pension providers, and ensuring all contributions are paid correctly and on time.

Pension eligibility

Your nanny will be automatically enrolled in a pension scheme if they:

  • Are aged between 22 and State Pension age

  • Earn more than £10,000 per year (or the current threshold)

  • Work in the UK

Nannies who don't meet these criteria still have rights to join or opt in to a pension scheme, which we will facilitate if requested.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Which pension provider do you use? We use Nest pensions.

Q: What if my nanny wants to opt out? Your nanny has the right to opt out within one month of being enrolled. We'll handle all paperwork if they choose to do so, and any contributions already made will be refunded.

Q: How much are the pension contributions? The current minimum contribution rates are 8% of qualifying earnings, with at least 3% coming from you as the employer. These contributions are already included in your hourly rate with us.

Q: Can I or my nanny make additional contributions? Yes. If you or your nanny wish to make additional contributions above the minimum requirements, please contact our payroll team who can arrange this for you.
