Can I change my insurance tariff or deductible?
Yes! In most cases, you can switch your chosen insurance plan or deductible—provided that your pet is healthy, and you have not submitted any claims in the current insurance year.
ℹ️ Good to know: All our Mini, Midi, and Maxi health insurance plans include unlimited coverage for medically necessary surgeries—so you don’t need to worry about surgery costs when switching plans. 😊
How to Request a Change
Contact us via chat or email, and we will check if the change is possible and provide you with the updated pricing.
If the change is approved, and you agree to the new price, we will update your policy and send you a new policy document. 🙌
Important things to know
✅ Your pet must be healthy at the time of the change. You will need to confirm this in writing to us at the time of the change request.
Upgrading your plan or reducing your deductible:
A new 30-day waiting period will apply from the date of the change.
However, accident-related treatments and preventive care will be covered immediately under the new plan.
Your pet will remain fully covered under the previous plan during the new waiting period.
If your pet experienced a health issue while covered under a lower plan or higher deductible, any costs related to that condition may only be covered up to the limits of the previous plan, even after upgrading.
Downgrading your plan or increasing your deductible:
No new waiting period will apply.
Any previous illnesses will still be reimbursed, but within the limits of the new, lower plan.
If you have already submitted a claim in the current insurance period:
We cannot make any changes to your plan or deductible until the next insurance period.
If you would like to adjust your plan upon renewal, please contact us after receiving your contract renewal email, and we will be happy to update your policy for the next insurance year.
