Lassie supports only SEPA direct debit, PayPal, and credit card for premium payments. Manual or automatic bank transfers are not accepted, as they can result in incorrect or unassigned payments. If you have already sent money manually, please contact our team immediately with proof of payment so we can verify whether it reached a Lassie account and help you settle any outstanding premium correctly.

Accepted payment methods

Lassie supports the following secure and automated payment methods:

  • SEPA direct debit

  • PayPal

  • Credit card

These three options are the only accepted payment methods.

Are manual or automatic bank transfers allowed?

No. Lassie does not accept:

  • Manual bank transfers

  • Standing orders or automatic bank transfers

Why are bank transfers not accepted?

Payment by SEPA, PayPal, or credit card is required because these methods:

  • Ensure accurate billing, even if your premium changes due to applied discounts or policy updates.

  • Provide greater security, as payment details are verified and protected.

  • Avoid delays or failed payments that can occur with manual or recurring transfers.

πŸͺ™ Bank transfers cannot automatically adjust to changes in your premium, which increases the risk of incorrect payments.

I already sent the money manually, what should I do?

Contact us immediately

If you have already made a manual bank transfer, please contact our team as soon as possible. Manual bank transfers are not an accepted payment method, so we need to verify what happened and ensure your insurance remains active.

  • Chat support (recommended): Available in the Lassie app or on our website

Information you need to provide

To help us locate your payment, please send us the following details:

  • Proof of payment, such as:

    • A screenshot of the transfer

    • A bank statement

    • A downloadable or exported transfer confirmation

  • The bank account you transferred the money to, including:

    • IBAN

    • Account holder name

    • Any reference number you entered

This information allows us to verify whether the payment reached a Lassie-owned account.

Important: Payments sent to the wrong account

If the transfer was sent to an account not owned by Lassie, please note:

  • We cannot recover the payment on your behalf.

  • We are not accountable for payments sent to incorrect accounts.

  • Your insurance premium is still outstanding and will need to be paid using an accepted payment method (SEPA, PayPal, or credit card).

What happens next?

Once we receive your proof of payment and account details:

  • We verify whether the money reached Lassie.

  • If it did, we will allocate the payment to your policy.

  • If it did not, we will advise you on the next steps to ensure your premium is paid correctly.
