Direct debit payments and notifications

Direct debit allow us to charge for Card transactions.

The direct debit process is initiated at the same time as the existing settlement process for online orders. Prior to this being successful, you'll need to proceed with setting up the mandate within your dashboard, powered by GoCardless.

When a balance is due to Laybuy, we'll debit the nominated account that is attached to your merchant dashboard. Reporting on the value of the invoices as well as general transactions can be found in this helpful guide.

You'll receive an email notification from GoCardless stating that Laybuy will be debiting money from your nominated account in two days' time when payment is due. Details that will appear on your bank statement are also included in the email.
