Setting up Stripe

Instructions on setting up Stripe if you don't already have an account.

When joining Let's Do This, we ask you set up a Stripe account so that we can transfer funds over to you when you start taking registrations. By using Stripe, we ensure that your funds not only reach you securely, but also quickly - at no point do we at Let’s Do This hold your funds before they reach you.

This article explains how to to get yourself set up on Stripe if you don't already have an account. If you already have one, you can skip to the bottom of this article and click the 'Connect Stripe' button.


Getting setup to receive payments from us via Stripe takes a few minutes. Before you start the process, you’ll need these details:

  • Company number (unless registering as an individual/sole trader. If you are a non-profit, sign up as an ‘unincorporated association)

  • VAT number (if VAT-registered)

  • Business address

  • Bank account number & sort code

Then, click the appropriate link below, which will take you to Stripe.

Once on Stripe, click the 'Create new account' button, and create your free Stripe account.

Follow the instructions to verify your account by phone number or email. You should then be greeted with this screen:

You'll now need to confirm some business details for your company. Click on the blue 'Start' button near the top of the page.

Follow the step by step instructions, and enter the information requested on

  • Business Structure

  • Business Details

  • Fulfilment Details

  • Support Information

  • Bank Details

You can go revisit these steps at any time if you need to correct information - just click on one of the specific navigation options on the far left.

Your account is now set up on Stripe.


Connecting a Stripe sub-account

Now your Stripe account is successfully set up, you will need to connect to Let's Do This using a sub-account. This can be done by clicking the appropriate button below:

💡 Tip: make sure you click the link that matches your location, or your participants will be charged international payment fees!
