Lean PlanDo is a smooth project delivery tool with integrated lean methodologies.
The team will use the Integrated Lean Project Delivery (ILPD) workflow together with Plan - Do - Check - Act (PDCA) process to plan, monitor and improve the project.
To get the overall idea of the ILPD method, please refer following article:
Lean PlanDo is a web-based application, which means you do not need to install any software. With internet connection and a device (laptop/tablet/mobile), you will be able to use Lean PlanDo conveniently.
The following features are important and useful as a Consultant to see how the site work and preparation work are being planned, and to know the project status and performance.
1. Web Based Application Steps
1.1. Sign Up and Login
To sign up, go to Lean PlanDo at https://app.leanplando.com/
Click “Create New Account” to register and create your account. If you already have created an account, you can Log In using your Username and Password.
Note: When your email address (username) is added as part of a Consultant company in one project, your account will be automatically created if you have not done so. An email from Lean PlanDo will be sent to Confirm your account.
For more details and step-by-step guide, please refer to the following links:
Once your account is confirmed/activated, you can use the username and password to log into the system.
1.2. Masterplan
The Masterplan is the module where the whole project master plan can be seen with real-time site information (actual/expected dates and progress) and the expected project end date. It is powered with a useful filter for a critical path of the project, which allows you to have an eye on the current critical path. Please refer to the following articles for the useful features in the Masterplan in Lean PlanDo.

1.3. Lookahead
The Lookahead is a six to eight weeks view of the Masterplan, where the project team will perform forward planning of the project with the detailed breakdown of sequence of works for all the site activities into Tasks.
Under the lookahead, the project team will also plan out the site sequence, along with preparation works called Constraints.
For example, say we have an activity of “Casting of Slab A1”. The team will be breaking this activity down into Tasks such as Rebar, Formwork, Casting, and Inspection. They will also be inputting Constraints such as Authority Approvals, Structural Design Approvals, and other necessary preparation works with micro steps representing the common sequence in which the constraints will be resolved.

1.4. Constraints
Constraint is one of the main features that consultants will be involved in Lean PlanDo. Constraints are the preparation work for each activity/task such as ST Drawing, Design Specification, RFI, etc. These constraints will be planned out by the Main Contractor and Consultants together upon reaching the agreeable timeline. Under each constraint, there will be multiple steps such as Preparation, Submission, Approval, etc. to track the overall status of the constraint. This will allows the project to manage the essential preparation works which need to be cleared before the construction works can be started on site. As such, on-time clearance of constraint is one of key factors for as-planned start of works on site.
Consultants will only be assigned to the steps that they are responsible of. When assigned, you will be able to update the status of that step, or change the due date of the step accordingly to the situation.

How to update the status of constraint/step:
1.5. Do List
Every week, the project team will have a list of tasks to be executed on site and these tasks will be monitored and updated daily. As a consultant, whether you are keeping track of certain works, be it critical or not critical to the project, or just want to see an overview of the works happening on site currently, you can do so by using the Do List. Every task will also be updated in its progress daily by the contractor team, through the Do List.
What is a Do List?
How to access the Done List:
1.6. Insights
Every detail, data and events that occurred in the project will be input by the project team, and shown in our module called the Insights. This is where your role as a Consultant come into play most importantly, where you will be able to check the Project Status and Progress, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Bottlenecks in the project.
Get started on the Insights:
For explanation of each and every widget available in the Insights, please go to this link and refer to each module’s article:
2. Mobile App Application Steps
2.1. Install and Log In
Download & install “Lean PlanDo Site” app to track and update site work on the go for your construction projects. The app is available for both Android and iOS users. As consultants, you will be able to manage and update the status of constraint steps using the app with convenience.
View the constraints which are due in Current week, Last week and Next week
Attach files (any format) to the particular constraint using the “Attachments” tab
Provide comments to a particular constraint using “Comment Tab”
Under the Tasks tab, consultants can view/comment/attach to each task
