TL;DR: Turn any location into a classroom by setting your travel destinations. SparkAI automatically finds local activities and generates plans that match your family values and your child's learning goals.
Welcome to Adventures—the heart of worldschooling in LearnSpark. This feature is designed to take education beyond the four walls of your home. Whether you are traveling across the globe or exploring your own neighborhood, SparkAI helps you find meaningful experiences.
Instead of spending hours searching the web, SparkAI does the hard work for you. It looks at your current location and where you are going next to create a LearnSpark experience tailored to your children's interests and your family's unique values.
Setting Your Current and Next Destination
To start location-based learning, you need to let SparkAI know where your family is. This ensures the activities suggested are relevant to where you actually are.
Go to Settings and select Profile or General.
Find the Travel & Location section.
Enter your Current Location. This tells SparkAI what is available for field trips right now.
Enter your Next Destination. This allows you to plan ahead before you even pack your bags!
💡 Good to know: SparkAI is smart! It refreshes your activity list on an intelligent schedule based on the length of your trip and the changing seasons. This ensures you always have fresh options.
Discovering Activities for Your Family
Once your location is set, head to the Adventures tab and click Discover. This isn't just a basic search; it creates a curated list of activities "Most Likely to be Ideal" for your specific family.
Local Context: If you are in Rome, SparkAI might suggest a history lesson on the Colosseum. If you are in Florida, it might focus on coral reefs.
Shortlisting: Click to save activities that catch your eye. This keeps the idea safe so it doesn't disappear when the list refreshes later.
Add to Schedule: When you add an activity to your calendar, SparkAI creates a plan with packing lists, weather tips, and educational talking points!
Planning Quick Activities and Lessons
If you have a specific idea in mind—like visiting a nearby forest—the Quick Activity tool lets you plan it instantly. You can choose themes like "nature" or "adventure."
When you schedule a day trip, you can check the Learning Activity box. When you do this, SparkAI will tailor the activity guide to include educational goals. This helps you turn a fun outing into a targeted learning moment.
⚠️ Heads up: Location searches, adventure planning, and generating trip details all use SparkAI Credits. This covers the work the platform does to match local history and geography to your student's learning path.
Turning Adventures into Progress
Learning doesn't just happen during "school hours." After your fun day out, remember to use the Log Activity button on your dashboard.
This records the real-world experiences your child had while exploring. By logging these off-platform activities, SparkAI updates your student's mastery skills with their new knowledge.
Great job—you're making the world their classroom!
