Learned supports managers and employees in formulating clear, concrete and relevant development goals. Using AI, the platform automatically generates draft development goals based on the employee's existing context. This saves time, increases the quality of goals and helps users reach concrete development goals faster.

How it works

  • During or after a review (or via the personal goals dashboard), the user can choose ‘Generate development goal’.

  • Learned automatically analyses the available information about this employee, such as feedback and previously completed reviews. Based on this, one or more draft development goals are generated.

  • These goals are: Context-specific (e.g. focused on communication, cooperation, subject matter)

  • Formulated in understandable language

  • Adaptable by the user. The generated goals serve as suggestions: the employee and/or manager chooses which goals are kept or modified.

What data is processed?

The AI functionality only uses data that is already present within the platform and specifically related to the employee in question. This includes:

  • Input from the current and previous review

  • Scores on competencies and focus areas examples

  • Relevant context such as job title, role or team

  • No data is used from other employees or external systems.

How is the data used?

  • The AI analyses the input to recognise themes (e.g. ‘could communicate more directly’ or ‘needs more depth in subject matter’).

  • Based on these themes, one or more concept goals are generated, for example:

    • "Strengthen direct and clear communication in team meetings".

    • "Take more responsibility in project planning by proactively seeking coordination."

  • The user sees the proposal and can immediately adopt, modify or delete it.

  • Only explicitly chosen and saved goals are permanently recorded.

This option is meant to support, not replace reflection or conversation.
