Where can you find the learning paths of your employee?

In order to design the development of skills in a structured way, you can get started with learning paths in Learned. With a learning path you can:

  • Bundle relevant learning materials in 1 module that your employees can follow. Think of courses, videos and articles.

  • Within this module, you can make different sections. For example for the different parts of a traineeship. Think of different periods in time, or different themes related to the learning resources.

  • Admin only: Assign entire groups of employees at once and easily keep an overview of the progress per individual employee or per activity. Think of different teams, departments, groups of trainees or employees with the same role profile.

As a coach, you can easily view the learning paths of your employee in the 'Team' environment on the 'Onboard & Learn' page. From this environment, you can also easily create a new learning path.

Create a new learning path

In practice, learning paths are often created by the Admins, but it may of course happen that you as a coach want to set up a completely new learning path. Start with the following:

  • Name: For example, the name of a traineeship.

  • Description: Accompanying text for the employee / trainee with explanations and instructions.

  • Image: Give your learning path a professional look & feel.

Add sections and learning resources

You can create 1 or more sections. You can add learning materials from the library per section. You can change the order of the learning resources in the section, but you can also move entire sections with drag & drop. In addition, you can indicate per activity that it is mandatory to complete. If required, participants will not be able to proceed to the next section if this activity has not yet been completed.

Working with an existing learning path

Chances are that as a coach you do not have to create a new learning path, but that you can use an existing learning path that has been created by the Admin. You can:

  • Assign an existing learning path: You assign a learning path that has already been created by the Admin to an employee. Note: If the admin makes changes to the original learning path, these changes will be reflected in your assigned learning path.

What happens after assigning a learning path?

After you have created a learning path or assigned a learning path to an employee, the following happens:

  • The employee will receive an email notification that a new learning path has been assigned.

  • The employee can then get started on the learning path.

  • As a coach, you can easily keep an eye on the employee's progress by clicking open the learning path from the 'Team' environment. You can see the progress per activity and you can click open activities to view any notes from the employee.

Next step: discuss the progress of your learning path with your employee

Both you and your employee can add the employee's learning path or other learning activities as a talking point to your 1-1 conversations. You can easily click through to the learning path from the 1-1 conversation.
