If you need help with a new task, you can easily submit a request to get things moving quickly. Simply log in to the Legal Nodes Online Portal and choose from two options, each designed to help you get the help you need as quickly as possible.

Log in to the Legal Nodes Online Portal

  1. Login to your account on the Legal Nodes Online Portal (click here to go to the login page)

  2. Once logged in, you will arrive at your Legal Board

  3. Click on “NEW REQUEST”

You will now be presented with two options.

Option 1: If you'd like to submit a form with details about your new request, then Click on "CREATE A NEW REQUEST"

Option 2: If you'd like to speak to your VLO about your new request, you can click "BOOK A CALL WITH YOUR VLO". We explore this option further on this article (jump to guidance for Option 2: Book a call with your VLO)

Option 1: Create a new request online

Click on "CREATE A NEW REQUEST".

A form will appear on your screen.

The first field of the form allows you to choose which business this request relates to.

  • If you only have one business on the Legal Nodes Online Portal, you do not need to edit this field.

  • If you have multiple businesses on the Legal Nodes Online Portal, make sure you choose the right business from the drop down menu.

The second field of the form enables you to choose from a selection of requests.

If you choose “Create Custom Request”, you can type the details of your request into the form.

For example:

  • Title: “Register a company for fundraising”

  • Description: “I want to register a new company for fundraising. I need help choosing a jurisdiction and choosing the right entity type."

Once you have manually entered your details into a custom request, hit “SUBMIT” to send your request to your VLO.

Alternatively, use the drop down menu to scroll through request options.

Choose a request type and click submit.

Your VLO will receive your request and will contact you for additional details or, if they have enough information from you, they can begin processing your request immediately.

Option 2: Book a call with your VLO

If you’d prefer to speak to your VLO about your request and have them generate the request on your behalf, you can do so by clicking on “BOOK A CALL WITH YOUR VLO”.

A calendar will pop up with available dates and times for you to book a call.

Details of the call are provided on the left-hand side.

This information will tell you who will be hosting the call, the call duration, and where the call will be held.

Date and time options are provided on the right-hand side.

Be sure to check the time zone for the call, as your VLO may be operating in a different time zone. If you are having difficulty finding a date that suits you, contact your VLO for help.

Click on a preferred date. A list of available time slots will appear on the right-hand side.

If none of these time slots are suitable, choose another date.

If you see a suitable timeslot, click on it, and then click "Next" to proceed.

You will now be prompted to enter your details and book your call.

  1. Enter your name

  2. Enter your email

  3. Add guests to your event

  4. Add notes to help your VLO prepare for the call

  5. Schedule the event

After you've scheduled your event, all invitees will receive an invite via their email. Some calendar software (such as Google Calendars) will automatically add the meeting to your calendar. Please double check the time and date and, if you wish to change or cancel your booking, contact us as soon as possible

What happens after you’ve submitted a new request via the Online Portal or via a call with your VLO?

Once we have the necessary information regarding your request, your VLO will contact suitable service providers who are best placed to complete your Project.

Your VLO will then arrange for Project Offers to be generated by service providers and sent to you for your review and approval. Learn more about Project Offers here.
