Project Offers are offers made by multiple different service providers to clients, to undertake the tasks required to complete an add-on. For example, if you wanted to set up a company in the UK, you would receive Project Offers from service providers in the UK who can assist with this task.

When can you receive a Project Offer?

Project Offers are only available to clients via the Legal Nodes Online Portal once onboarding has been completed.

Why do you receive multiple Project Offers?

As we have many different vetted, highly-qualified, and professional service providers working with us, often you will receive more than one Project Offer from a service provider for a given task.

Understanding different Project Offers statuses

As your offer goes through different stages, it is assigned different statuses. The statuses are:

  1. Offer is prepared by VLO

  2. Approve your offer

Offer is prepared by VLO

At this stage, you will have spoken to your VLO about a specific task you need help with, and your VLO will have suggested the most suitable add-on for your business case. Your VLO will now work with several service providers who your VLO thinks is most suitable for you to help them prepare an offer containing price and time estimates.

Approve your offer

When your Project Offer is at this stage, this means you have received your Project Offer and will need to review it and approve it. As you may receive multiple different Project Offers from different service providers, you will have to review all of them and choose your preferred Project Offer.

Understand your Project Offers

Each Project Offer contains the following information:

  1. The name of the service provider and their hourly rate

  2. Tasks listed in rows

  3. A total estimated price

Each task contains the following details:

  • The task name

  • An icon indicating who will perform the task (either the service provider or your VLO)

  • The status of the task (at this stage, this will always be set as “To Do”)

  • Under the heading “Estimate”, you can see the time required to complete each task (usually stated in days)

  • Under the heading “Price”, you can see if this task is covered by your monthly plan, set at an hourly rate, or estimated as a one-off cost

What’s the difference between a VLO task and a service provider task?

Both your service provider and your VLO perform tasks within a project. Consequently, you will see who each task is assigned to in your Project Offer tab.

Your VLO can perform some tasks that fall within the remit of your Legal Nodes subscription. This is indicated in the Price column with the comment “Covered by Monthly Plan”.

There are other tasks that your VLO will perform within your Project that may fall outside the remit of your subscription. In these instances, you will see a price in the Price column. This will usually be priced at an hourly rate.

Your service provider tasks are typically provided with set fee estimates, and also include a time estimate for when each task should be completed by. Every Project is different and so each Project Offer should be reviewed carefully.

Why do we include time and cost estimates?

We are able to provide estimates to help you better understand how long tasks will take and how much they should cost. The estimates are quite accurate, however should prices change, your VLO will communicate this with you as soon as possible, and provide explanations as to why the price has increased.

Sometimes, prices can vary between different service providers (due to a variety of factors), and so we always try to provide price estimates and time estimates so that you can choose the Project Offer that is most suitable for your unique business case.

Chat with VLO about your Project Offers

One of the great features of our Project Offers tab is the opportunity to speak to your VLO via a dedicated chat that is available to use when viewing your offers.

Use this chat to ask specific questions about your offers, including queries about time and price estimates, the service providers, or the individual tasks in the Project.

Approve your Project Offer

Once you’ve decided which Project Offer you wish to accept, simply click “I accept this offer” to confirm your choice.

What happens after you’ve approved your Project Offer?

Your VLO will receive a notification indicating which Project Offer you’ve selected. They’ll then get to work confirming everything with your chosen provider so that works can begin as soon as possible.

The next step for you will be to make a payment so that works can begin promptly. Once payment has been made, you won’t need to do anything else.

You can anticipate receiving updates as to your Project commencing within a couple of days. Typically, your VLO will be in touch quite quickly, but do be aware that our service providers are situated around the globe, so occasionally it may take a little longer for us to get started on your Projects when working with large time differences.
