Your earnings are based on your hourly rate, which you should set based on your coaching and work experience and how much you coach on Leland. Youâll start making between $50-$200/hour, with the opportunity to increase your hourly earnings by driving results for clients and referring people from your network to Leland.

đ„ How Does Lead Generation Work?
We offer a few key ways to help you get in front of potential clients:
Free Events: Hosting a live event is a great way to showcase your expertise and attract new leads. Submit your event idea with a title, description, target audience, preferred date and time, and a high-level marketing plan. Once approved, Leland will provide you with marketing assets to shareâand weâll also promote your event to users who are interested in your coaching category.
Trial Sessions: You can opt into trial session opportunities where Leland matches you with individuals exploring coaching. These are short, paid sessions designed to help clients get to know youâand potentially turn into ongoing engagements.
Profile Visibility: Your coach profile is discoverable through search, category pages, and personalized recommendations. A strong profile with detailed services, compelling vouches, and clear pricing will help you stand out.
đ Whatâs the Application Process Like?
Submit Your Application: Start by filling out the coach application with details about your background, expertise, and what you want to coach.
Collect 10 Vouches: Once submitted, youâll need to gather ~10 vouches. These are short testimonials from people youâve supportedâeither formally or informallyâthat validate your ability to coach.
Application Review: After reaching 10 vouches, our team will review your application. Youâll typically hear back within a few business days.
đ What Does Onboarding Look Like?
If you're approved, youâll be invited to a live onboarding session where weâll walk through the platform, share best practices, and answer questions. Youâll also gain access to our resource library, packed with tips for building a strong profile, attracting leads, and delivering impactful coaching sessions.
đŁïž Do I Have to Collect My Own Vouches?
Yes. You're responsible for collecting vouches by reaching out to past clients, students, colleagues, or anyone who can speak to your coaching skills. Vouches are an important part of building credibility and are required for your application to be reviewed. If you've been a professional coach and have existing reviews/testimonials accessible on a website you'd like us to add to your Leland profile, contact Leland support.
đŒ Can I Coach If I Have a Full-Time Job?
Absolutely. Many Leland coaches also work full-time or pursue other projects. You set your own hours and define the services you want to offer. Thereâs no minimum time commitment or exclusivityâweâre here to support your coaching goals, whatever they look like.
đ What If Iâm on a Visa? Can I coach?
Visa eligibility for coaching can vary widely depending on your visa type, classification, and situation. In our experience, sometimes there are situations where you are not allowed to and other times you can, and it depends a bit on the classification and timing. Because of the complexity and potential legal implications, we recommend you consult a qualified immigration attorney. In our experience, some coaches are eligible to work on the platform under their visa, and others are notâit really depends on the details.
