Once you have connected with Colleagues, you can easily share activities. Working together makes the workload lighter!
🚨 Important Note 🚨
Sharing activities is NOT the same as giving access to students. Sharing allows you to collaborate with colleagues on creating activities, not assign activities to students. Each teacher must assign activities to their own students separately.
Share Activities with Colleagues
1. Click on "My Activities" from the left menu.
2. Choose the desired activity. The Learning Activity panel will open on the right side of the window.
3. Scroll down the Learning Activity panel and click "Share With Selected Colleagues."
4. Read Only: Choosing this option allows colleagues to make a copy of your activity. They can edit or customize their own copy without affecting your original.
5. Can Edit: Choosing this option enables real-time collaboration. Any changes made will modify the original activity.
Only use "Can Edit" while developing an assessment. Once any students begin testing, changes will disrupt the answer key and invalidate the entire test. If you are an admin working with teachers to create an assessment, do NOT check the "Retake" box during development—this feature is only for finalized assessments.
6. To stop sharing with a colleague, click the "Remove" button.
Best Practices for Collaboration
Divide and conquer! Have teammates create activities for different chapters or units, then share them. Work together to develop in-depth activities by assigning roles—one person uploads PDFs, another adds videos or supporting materials, and another creates the answer key.
For formative assessments using DSC Action Banks, split the work by having each colleague contribute a certain number of items or focus on different academic standards to build a comprehensive assessment.
Quick Recap for Sharing Assessments:
Create the Assessment: Share with Editing rights while collaborating on developing assessments (do not enable Retake if you are an admin).
Assign the Assessment: Change sharing permission to Read Only, allowing colleagues to copy if needed, or remove sharing rights completely. If you are an admin, turn on the Retake feature before giving access to teachers if allowing retakes.
💡 Tip: Use the description textbox at the top of the activity to communicate deadlines for revisions and final sharing dates with your team.
