The Randomization Security Feature allows teachers to randomize the order of Assessment items for students, enhancing assessment integrity and minimizing opportunities for cheating. This guide explains how to utilize this feature effectively.

This feature is recommended for Math, Science and Social Studies Assessments.

How to Use Randomization

  1. In the left menu, navigate to the desired activities section under Learning Activities.

  2. Locate your desired assessment and click on the underlined title or the View This Activity button to the right of the name.

  3. The assessment will open in a new panel to the right. In the details section, you will find the Randomization setting under Security. Click the checkbox to turn this feature on for the assessment.

Note: If this is a school or district assessment and they have restricted access to this feature, it will not be visible to you. If the feature is set to required, the checkbox will be marked and grayed out, indicating that you cannot change this setting.
