This feature allows educators to randomize the order of test items for each student, fostering a more secure testing environment.

The Randomization Security Feature is designed to enhance assessment integrity by allowing the randomization of test item order for each student. This guide outlines the functionality and administrative controls associated with this feature.


Randomization Options

  • Allow: Teachers are allowed to add randomization.

  • Restrict: Teachers are not allowed to add randomization.

  • Require: All students will see a random order.

Note: The feature is set to Allow by default.


Important Notes

District Administrators

  • If left set to Allow, School Administrators can adjust the setting.

  • If you set the setting to Restrict or Require only a District Administrator can modify it.

School Administrators

  • If left set to Allow, teachers can toggle the randomization feature on or off for their Assesslet.

  • If you set the setting to Restrict or Require only a School Administrator can modify it.


How to Use Randomization

  1. In the left menu, navigate to the desired subject section under Assesslet Activities.

  2. Locate the desired assessment and click on the underlined title of the Assesslet name.

    Note: This feature does not apply to ELA Assesslets.

  3. The Assesslet will open in a new panel to the right. In the details section, you will find the Randomization setting. The feature is set to Allow by default. If you wish to change it, you will do so here.
