The Randomization Security Feature allows teachers to randomize the order of test items for students, enhancing assessment integrity and minimizing opportunities for cheating. This guide explains how to utilize this feature effectively.

How to Use Randomization

  1. In the left menu, navigate to the desired subject section under Assesslet Activities.

  2. Locate the desired assessment and click on the underlined title of the Assesslet name.

Note: This feature does not apply to ELA Assesslets.

  3. The Assesslet will open in a new panel to the right. In the details section, you will find the Randomization setting under Security. Click the checkbox to turn this feature on for the Assesslet.

Note: If this your school or district admins have restricted access to this feature, it will not be visible to you. If they set the feature to required, the checkbox will be marked and grayed out, indicating that you cannot change this setting.
