Levr's Document Generator lets you create term sheets, NDAs, advisory agreements, and any other client documents in seconds — without typing a single field manually. Levr pulls your deal data directly into your templates using tags, so every document is pre-populated with the right information the moment you generate it.
The Document Generator lives inside every deal. Open any deal that has data and it's ready to use.
Video Walkthrough
Watch the full walkthrough to see the Document Generator in action — from using pre-loaded templates to building your own from scratch.
Step 1: Open a Deal
Navigate to any deal in your Levr dashboard. The Document Generator is available on every deal — it pulls from whatever data is already in the deal, so the more complete the deal, the more fields it can auto-populate.
Step 2: Click Document Generator in the Sidebar
Inside the deal, click Document Generator in the sidebar. This opens the generator where you can choose a template or build your own from scratch.
Step 3: Choose a Template
Levr comes with pre-loaded templates ready to use. Select any template to get started. On the left you'll see the template with data tags; on the right is a live preview showing how the document will look with your deal data pulled in automatically.
You can switch templates at any time — each one has its own layout and tags. The live preview updates instantly so you always see exactly what will be generated.
Step 4: Understand Data Tags
Levr uses tags to pull deal data into documents automatically — no typing required. When a tag appears in yellow, it means that data hasn't been filled in yet for this deal. Make sure the relevant deal fields are complete to get a fully populated document.
Pre-loaded tags are built into Levr's templates. If you need custom tags for your own templates, reach out to the Levr team and they'll help you get those set up.
Step 5: Generate the Document
When the document looks the way you want it, click to generate. The document saves as a PDF directly to your computer — ready to send to your client or lender.
Step 6: Build Your Own Template (Optional)
Want to create a custom document? Clear the current template to start fresh. Type a name for your new template and click Create.
You can build any document you need — NDAs, advisory agreements, term sheets, client agreements, or anything else. Paste in your existing document or write from scratch. The editor supports full formatting, and whatever you type on the left appears in the live preview on the right.
To pull deal data automatically into your custom template, add tags where you want data to appear. Reach out to the Levr team for help setting up custom tags. Once your template is saved, it will be available on every deal going forward.
Why Use the Document Generator
No manual data entry. Deal data flows directly into your documents through tags. Names, amounts, dates, and deal details are pulled in automatically — no typing, no copy-pasting.
Consistent, professional documents every time. Templates ensure your documents are formatted correctly and include everything they need, every time you generate one.
Fully customizable. Build your own templates with your own layout and content. Any document your business needs can be created and saved for reuse across all your deals.
Available on every deal. The Document Generator is built into the deal sidebar — it's always there, and it always pulls from the deal you're working on.
Tips for Getting the Most Out of the Document Generator
Complete your deal data first. The more information you have in a deal, the more tags will auto-populate. Fill in deal fields before generating a document to minimize yellow tags.
Use the live preview. Always check the preview before generating. Yellow tags signal missing data — fill those gaps before creating the final PDF.
Save your custom templates. If you build a custom document, save it as a template so it's available across all future deals without having to rebuild it.
Reach out for custom tag setup. If you want deal data to auto-populate in your own custom templates, contact the Levr team. They'll set up the tags so your documents populate automatically just like the pre-loaded templates.
Switch templates freely. You can switch between templates at any point before generating — use the live preview to compare layouts and choose the best fit for the situation.
Common Questions
Q: Where do I find the Document Generator?
A: It's in the sidebar inside any deal. Click Document Generator and it opens right there within the deal.
Q: What types of documents can I create?
A: Any document you need — term sheets, NDAs, advisory agreements, client documents, or custom documents you build yourself. If you can write it or paste it in, you can turn it into a reusable template.
Q: What are tags?
A: Tags are placeholders in your document templates that automatically pull data from the deal — things like client name, funding amount, business details, and more. When a tag is yellow, it means that data isn't in the deal yet.
Q: What format is the generated document saved in?
A: Documents are saved as PDFs directly to your computer.
Q: Can I build my own templates?
A: Yes — clear the current template, name your new one, and build it from scratch using the editor. Paste in existing documents or write new content. Full formatting is supported.
Q: How do I add custom tags to my templates?
A: Reach out to the Levr team and they'll help you set up custom tags so your deal data auto-populates into your custom templates.
Q: Are my saved templates available on all deals?
A: Yes — once you save a custom template, it becomes available in the Document Generator on every deal going forward.
Q: What if some fields are still yellow when I generate?
A: Yellow tags mean certain deal data hasn't been filled in. You can still generate the document — those fields will appear blank — or go back to the deal and complete the missing information first for a fully populated document.
