Key Terms

These are a few general terms used in Pabbly Connect. Have a look through this section if you have never worked with Pabbly Connect or any other automation tool before:

  • Workflow: The entire automation that you build in Pabbly Connect

  • Trigger: This is the first step of your entireworkflow. It is what kickstarts the entire thing. (Ex: New spreadsheet row, new RSS item)

  • Action: The task that needs to be performed (Ex: Create a post in LiGo, publish to LinkedIn, send a Slack message)

  • Field Mapping: This allows you to map the items/values of previous steps into your current step/action (Ex: You can map the content generated by LiGo to automatically be emailed to your team's content lead)

Example Automations

Automation #1: Google Sheets → LiGo Draft Post

Use case: Turn ideas into LinkedIn drafts automatically

Setup:

  1. Trigger: Google Sheets -> New or updated spreadhseet row

  2. Action: LiGo -> Create Draft Post

How it works:
Every time you add a new row to a Google Sheet, Pabbly Connect sends that row to LiGo, a post is generated and saved to your drafts

Automation #2: RSS Feed → LiGo Repurposed Post

Use case: Turn RSS blog content into LinkedIn posts automatically.

Setup:

  1. Trigger: RSS (Pabbly) -> New item in feed

  2. Action: LiGo -> Repurpose Content

How it works:
Each time a new blog post appears in your RSS feed, Pabbly Connect sends the content to LiGo, which converts it into a LinkedIn-ready post.

Automation #3: LinkedIn Post Scheduled → Slack Notification

Use case: Notify your team when a new post is scheduled.

Setup:

  1. Trigger: LiGo -> New LinkedIn Post Scheduled

  2. Action: Slack -> Send Channel Message

How it works:
Whenever you schedule a new draft post, Pabbly Connect sends a Slack message with the content & time the post is scheduled.

Automation #4: Trello Card → LiGo Content Idea

Use case: Turn content planning cards into a new content idea in LiGo.

Setup:

  1. Trigger: Trello-> New Card

  2. Action: LiGo -> Create Post Idea

How it works:
Each time a new card is added to a Trello board, its description becomes a content idea in LiGo.

Testing Your Workflow

  • Configur a trigger or action

  • Click on Save & Send Test Request

  • You will see an example response being sent to you (Ensure that the item you are requesting actaully exists)

Example of a Failure: You have requested for your Draft posts in LiGo, your account does have Draft posts, but the response returns nothing

Troubleshooting

  • No Response: Confirm the API key was copied exactly (no extra spaces) or regenerate the key in LiGo. If it still persists, ensure the value you are requesting actually exists.

  • No sample data being sent to trigger: Peform a sample action (Ex: Schedule a post in LiGo, create a sheet row, or RSS entry) so the trigger can capture example data.

  • Rate Limits : Check your LiGo plan limits.

When contacting support, include the exact action/trigger's name, the failing entry (screenshot from Pabbly Connect), request & response bodies, timestamps, and your LiGo account's email. It speeds diagnosis & helps us fix your problem as soon as possible.

What to Include In a Support Ticket

Provide:

  • Your LiGo account's email and plan

  • The Pabbly Connect workflow name, the trigger/action that failed

  • Screenshot(s) of PabblyConnect run history and the error message/code

  • The sample request body and the response you received

  • Timestamps and any other logs that show the failure conditions

Send this via LiGo's support, by clicking on the message icon on the bottom right of your screen for the fastest response.

Security Best Practices

  • Treat your API key like a password. Never expose it publicly, or share it. If you suspect that it was exposed, regenerate it through your account settings as regenerating it will disable the old key.

  • Limit who has access to your Pabbly Connect connections. Use account-level sharing only for trusted team members.

  • Log request and response bodies for audit and debugging.

Limits & Operational Tips

  • Avoid sending very large payloads in a single request. Break large jobs into smaller batches.

  • Monitor Pabbly Connect task usage and LiGo plan limits to avoid unexpected limit hits from any end.

  • Use descriptive names for workflows and steps as this makes troubleshooting much faster.

  • If you rely on frequent automations, add simple monitoring alerts (Slack or email) for failed runs.
