As you import returns into Liscio, be sure to carefully read the printing instructions to ensure successful processing. If a return doesn't process after following the instructions, here are possible reasons:

Check the Tax Return for missing items:
Missing the Federal 1040 form?
Missing an EAF 8879?
Missing the Taxpayers First or Last Name on page 2 of the US-1040?
Check that the form is supported:
Support: Federal and all State 1040 tax returns.
Not supported: Locality, state-only filings, US-1040-NR, and US-1040-SR.
Only long-form 1040 returns are supported (1040EZ and 1040A are not). Learn more here.
Check PDF Requirements:
Use the native print function of your tax software (do not use a PDF print driver).
Ensure the PDF:
Is not password protected.
Has watermarks disabled.
Combines Federal and State returns into a single PDF (do not upload multiple PDFs).
Business Returns:

Not supported at this time. Please ensure they are not included in the tax return.

Ensure you upload in the correct window.
There are specific import windows for tax organizers and tax returns.
Drop tax returns in the pink box on the right of the import screen that says "Smart Tax Delivery".

Zip File - Was the file originally in a zip file?
Ensure you unzip/extract the file before importing into Liscio.

Ensure no additional annotations were added in the area around the form titles.
Some software will allow you to add notes on the tax return. Please avoid adding these notes to form titles as it will prevent our program from correctly identifying the form.
