Can I Change My Installment Dates After Splitting Rent?

You can edit future installment dates in-app (not the first). Changes must follow spacing and timing rules.

🟢 Can I Change My Installment Dates After Splitting Rent?

Yes, you can edit your future unpaid installment dates directly in your Livble account - a few conditions apply. First installments cannot be changed.

You’ll see the Edit Plan option in your Livble widget or app if:

📘 Who Can Change Their Installment Dates?

  • Your rent was split at least 3 days ago

  • You still have an outstanding balance

  • You’re within the same month as your rent is due

  • You don’t have a split-rent payment scheduled

If any of these conditions are not met, the Edit option will not appear and no changes can be made to your plan.

🔁 What You Can and Can’t Change

✅ You Can:

  • Move future, unpaid installment dates (excluding your first payment)

  • Reschedule to any weekday within the current service month

🚫 You Can’t:

  • Move your first installment - even if it failed

  • Select weekends or holidays

  • Set installment dates with less than 2 days in between

  • Schedule installments outside the current service month

  • Change the amount of an installment or the number of installments in your plan

If a selected date breaks one of these rules, you’ll see an error before proceeding.

📋 Need to Make a Change?

Installment plan changes cannot be made by our support team. If your plan is eligible, you can update future unpaid installment dates directly through the Edit Plan option in your account. If the Edit Plan option is not available, your plan is not currently eligible for modification.

📲 How It Works (In-App Steps)

  1. Tap Edit in your plan

  2. Select the installment you’d like to change

  3. Choose a valid new date

  4. Confirm your reason for the change (we’ll ask you to pick from a list)

  5. Submit your updated schedule

Once confirmed, your plan will be updated and saved.

✅ Best Practices & Reminders

  • Installments scheduled outside your service month (e.g., a July plan with an installment in August), you can still move that installment, but only to a date within July (the current service month). It cannot be rescheduled to a different date in August or later (outside the service month).

  • To avoid processing delays, we recommend setting all installments on or before the 25th of your service month. ACH payments can take 2–3 business days to fully process.

  • Installment amounts and the number of installments cannot be changed after splitting your rent. Only the dates of unpaid installments can be adjusted.

  • Frequent changes to your plan may affect eligibility. To help avoid any impact, make sure your plan is fully paid within 30 days of starting your installment plan.

⚠️ Repayment Timeline

Rescheduling your installment does not change your repayment timeline:

  • Your balance is considered late after 30 days from your split date.

  • A late fee is charged on Day 45

  • Outstanding balances after 30 days may affect your eligibility to split rent next month.
