🛑 Late Fees Make You Ineligible
If there's any late fee on your current ledger — pending, posted, or paid — you won't be able to set up a split-rent plan this month. This holds true in every case, which is why it's worth splitting early or using Instant-Split (if available) if you think a late fee might be coming.
💡 Tip: If you’re close to your rent’s due cutoff and worried about late fees posting, consider using Instant-Split (if available) to pay immediately and avoid losing eligibility.
Note: if you already have a split-rent plan scheduled (rent will be paid the next business day) , and a late fee is added afterward — before your payment goes through — that fee won't cancel your plan. We'll still pay your rent as scheduled and add the fee to your first installment. This only protects a plan that's already in place; it doesn't apply if you're trying to start a new split after a fee has already posted. In that case, splitting isn't available this month, even if the fee only just showed up.
⚠️ Avoid Losing Eligibility Next Time
Split early & during split-rent business hours - Monday–Friday, 6 AM–3 PM ET.
If after hours & close to late fees, choose Instant-Split (if available) -adds $10 to your origination fee and pays rent immediately and helps prevent a late fee from posting. Your first installment and fee are collected immediately from your linked debit card at the time of split.
If your rent is scheduled to be paid the next business day - make sure your bank account has enough funds by the 2–3 PM ET window; if the debit fails, your rent won’t be paid and the split will be canceled.
⚠️ Important Notes
Livble does not pay or handle late fees for you.
Even a pending late fee blocks a split-rent setup until it’s fully removed.
Once a late fee posts to your ledger, you cannot split rent for that month.
Once the late fee is resolved, you may be able to split rent again next month. Eligibility is reassessed each month and is not guarantee
